My introduction to Microsoft Word 2016 is a quick course to get you up and running with Word 2016 as soon as possible.
At just under 1-and-a-quarter hours, the 18 videos take you through the basics and core essentials of Microsoft Word.
Starting with opening up Microsoft Word we create a blank document and end up with a simple 4 page report, including some key features and functions of Word. These include inserting and managing images, Word styles (the difference and how and why you should use them – this is critical!), the different heading levels, tables, page numbers, a dynamic Table of Contents, a cover page, formatting your document, and so on.
All in 18-jam-packed videos.
This course was recorded on a pc running Windows 10, 64-bit, and Word 2016 as part of Office 365. A lot of the functionality and what’s covered here is applicable for the Mac, but not all.
Furthermore, Microsoft have made some interface changes in Word 2007/2010, and again in 2013. Though not specifically referenced in this course, Word 2016 has a ‘Design’ and a ‘Layout’ tab, whereas 2013 has a ‘Design’ and a ‘Page Layout’ tab (they’re the same), and 2007/2010 has only a ‘Page Layout’ tab – I guess you can see the direction Microsoft was heading in those versions.
Other than that, and as far as I know, this course and its contents are applicable for those versions also.
